Agile Wallabies at Sweetwater Lodge

The Agile Wallaby inhabits northern Australia and New Guinea. Characterised by a dark/black outer ear and a white stripe down it’s face, the Agile Wallaby has a lifespan of between 10 and 14 years. Just one joey is produced each season in winter after a gestation period of 30 days. The joey’s remain in their mother’s pouch for up to 7 months. They are believed to have inhabited Australia for at least four million years.
