Bird-watching in Julatten
These beautiful fairly rare birds, the Blue-faced Parrot Finch have stuck around all year. We usually look forward to their return around this time of year but they love their digs and the abundance of food at Sweetwater and never left for the higher ground at Mt Lewis National Park! This gorgeous photo taken by our neighbour a few weeks ago shows the bird at its best. We’re enjoying stunning weather at Sweetwater at the moment, perfect long sunny days and cool nights for rugging up around the fireplace. Bird-watching and photography in and around Sweetwater is becoming a very popular passtime among our nature loving guests.
